Stadium Displays

Historically, stadium perimeter display boards were basic signs with static graphics, which obviously limited each display board to one advertiser. Nowadays, these have been replaced with LED stadium surround displays, which give the stadium huge flexibility with advertising. The displays show animated text and graphics to dynamic effect. The adverts can be as stunning and eye catching as you like, and of course many, many advertisers can be displayed on the signs, giving the stadium much more revenue from the advertising.

There is obviously more outlay in the cost of the displays in the first instance, but from then on there are no additional costs involved, except in creating the graphics. These could be done in-house, unlike traditional static display signs which have to be manufactured from new when changing advertisers.

Large full colour Graphic and Video Boards are certainly becoming the norm in large stadiums. They can not only show the scores and times throughout the match, but can show video replays of goals and tries, and the action as it happens. It can also double up as an advertising board - many advertisers are extremely keen to advertise on the scoreboard video board, as it is extremely prominent and frequently looked at.
